It’s Wineglass Marathon Weekend, which easily makes it one of the busiest of the year. Here’s a rundown (get it?) of what’s going on.

Friday

Start the festivities Friday evening, with the return of the Urban Arts Crawl. From 5-8pm, enjoy artist demonstrations, gallery talks, exhibit openings, art-centric activities, wine and beer tastings, and more, at seven unique locations throughout Downtown Corning. All are within walking distance of one another, and all are offering some seriously cool art-centric experiences.?The Crawl, and each of the participating venues, is free and open to the public.

Saturday

Things start early on Saturday, with the?6th Annual Corelle 5K beginning at 8am.?As part of Wineglass Weekend, the Wineglass Corelle 5K is a great, family-friendly warm up for those participating in the full or half marathons.

Runners can also check out the Corning Museum of Glass after making their way to the Wineglass Marathon Expo, which will be open 10-7pm throughout the day. The expo is also open until 7pm Friday for early arrivals.

Sunday

Sunday’s the big day, obviously. The Wineglass Half Marathon begins at 7:45am. The full marathon follows with a start time of 8:15am. Runners, remember that you MUST be bussed to the appropriate starting lines. If you need more information, it can be found HERE.

Several post-race activities round out the day. At 12pm, runners can make their way to the Radisson Hotel Corning for the Wine Down Party with Wineglass Marathon inspired snacks and drinks.

If you were bitten by the art bug during Friday night’s Urban Arts Crawl, join the Rockwell Museum from 12-4pm.?Nothing pairs with a nice stroll through a fine art museum like sipping on a wide sampling of regional wines, beers, and spirits. Hors d?oeuvres and tastings are free to runners and their guests, and full bottles will be available for purchase directly from the tasting staff. If you?re not able to take some time to hit the tasting trails this weekend, The Rockwell Museum has you covered.

The Rockwell Museum is located just around the corner from the finish line on Corning?s Market Street.

Enjoy your weekend, friends. Best of luck to everyone running the Wineglass Half & Full Marathons!
