You’d think a weekend after a holiday would be quiet…not in this area! We’ve got festivals, fairs, live music, great food, local wine, art and so much more!

Thursday

Start off your weekend with food, music and art! (And not particularly in that order)

Stop by the Corning Farmer’s Market for some fresh produce and delicious already-made food! Make sure to walk into Centerway Square to hear Ken Erway play some soft rock tunes.

After work, head down to the Corning Museum of Glass to check out guest artist Micke Johansson from 6 to 8pm. This master glassblower will be doing a live narrated demonstration as he uses techniques inspired from his homeland – Sweden!

Friday

Enjoy all kinds of wine at the Finger Lakes Wine Festival happening in Watkins Glen all weekend! More than 80 wineries will be paired with local artisans, musicians and culinary classes. Food, wine and music, all in one place! What more could you want?

Saturday

If you’re in the mood for barbecue, take a drive up to Binghamton. The Traditions at the Glen Resort and Hotel will be hosting the Third Annual Binghamton Barbecue Bash where restaurants and caterers will be duking it out to see who has the best barbecue around.

Now that you’re stuffed with barbecue, stop by the Brick House Brewery on your way home to listen to some music to help you digest. The Chris O’Leary Band willing be playing their?American Roots music, steeped in the tradition of Memphis, Chicago and New Orleans.

Sunday

Get in your workout and donate to a local charity! There will be a community yoga class at Lafayette Park in Watkins Glen from 8:30-9:30am. Work off all that wine, beer and food from the weekend, while enjoying a fresh morning flow! All money collected goes to local charity!
