From food trucks and museum events to fashion shows and music royalty, there’s A LOT going on in Corning this weekend. And it all starts with tacos and beer.
Friday: Tacos & Beer
Everyone loves a good food truck. Around here, Global Taco is one of the best – serving up everything from traditional Mexican street tacos to their signature Upstates, which feature spiedie style chicken, lettuce, onion, and a creamy spiedie sauce on fresh, soft tortillas. The truck will be parked at Iron Flamingo Brewery this Friday, from 5-8pm. Stop by after work and grab a plate?and a pint. The Baja fish tacos pair perfectly with Iron Flamingo’s American IPA.
You know what else pairs well with tacos? Margaritas. After Iron Flamingo, make your way westward down Pulteney Street and stop at Brick House Brewery. Friday night is margarita night, and you can enjoy a $3 house margarita all night long. If margs aren’t your thing, and you’re still in a craft beer mood, sip a pint of their Copper Ale while enjoying the soulful, acoustic rock of Justin Raynor and Chris Warren. Music starts at 9pm.
Saturday: Art & Fashion
Saturday is for the museums. Beginning at 9am, join the Corning Museum of Glass for Crystal City Saturday?and be one of the first to experience the museum?s summer celebration of 150 Years of Glassmaking in the Crystal City.
