As always, there’s a lot going on throughout Corning this weekend. Check out some of the highlights below:

41st Annual Sparkle, December 5

There’s a reason that Sparkle’s dubbed the crowned jewel of the Gaffer District’s Crystal City Christmas events schedule. Running from 5-9pm, Market Street will close to feature craft and food vendors, family activities, horse and carriage rides, fireworks and more. If for whatever reason you couldn’t make it to last weekend’s Parade of Lights, you’ll definitely not want to miss Sparkle.

And don’t forget, you can run a great race AND support the Food Bank of the Southern Tier with the Selfless Elf 5K earlier in the day.

Corning Museum of Glass Holiday Open House, December 5?

You might as well just make a day of it on Saturday. Pack up the kids and kick off the day’s festivities at CMoG’s museum-wide Holiday Open House. Enjoy free admission, craft activities, live music, and special glassmaking experiences. Rumor has it that you can even have breakfast or lunch with the good ol’ Saint Nick, himself.
