From grand openings to anniversaries, arts and culture to craft beverages, there’s a lot happening in Downtown Corning this weekend. Here are our recommendations.
Friday
Start the weekend a little earlier with a visit to Liquid Shoes Brewing Company. Though Corning’s newest brewery has quietly gained a large following since its soft opening in June, it’s saved its official grand opening for this weekend. Join them from 4-6pm for a special grand opening happy hour, including music, giveaways, and of course, delicious Liquid Shoes beer.
Once you’ve had your fill of “Kung Fu Bicycle” IPA and “Just Another” Pale Ale, make your way to the Rockwell Museum’s back parking lot. Once there, enjoy a series of unique dance performances. As part of this month’s Urban Arts Crawl, an ordinary box truck will evolve from its utilitarian form into a reimagined micro-world of projected visions while masterfully creating dance magic in real-time. Learn more about this unique dance experience, HERE.
Saturday
If? you don’t get your fill of local libations at Liquid Shoes, spend Saturday afternoon at Four Fights Distilling. This Saturday marks “Corning’s Oldest Distillery’s” third anniversary. From 3-9pm, guests will enjoy discounts in the tasting room, local cheese samples, beer and wine tastings, live music, Global Taco food truck, and other celebratory activities.
Cap off the weekend’s festivities with live music at Brick House Brewery. From 9-1am, Project X, a Corning-based classic rock group, will provide an evening of entertainment. We recommend pairing that with BHB’s local craft beer and late night eats.
Visit our?monthly events calendar, presented by?Brick House Brewery, for more events happening?throughout the region.
I had fun at this event! Hope they’ll have this event again by next year!
