Every month, we talk about the greatness that is Urban Arts Crawl. Instead of hearing from us, we wanted to give you the perspective of fresh eyes. Elizabeth Paolucci is a senior at Elmira College who was looking to explore Corning. Here are her words about Urban Arts Crawl:
What is the Urban Arts Crawl Actually Like?
If you haven?t checked out the Urban Arts Crawl yet, I don?t know WHAT you have been doing! Celebrate the creativity in your local community and tour the Corning arts scene every final Friday of the month (September – May). The best part: you can have fun WITHOUT draining your pocketbook. The event is free and open to the public!
What kinds of things might you experience on the crawl??
Talent
You won?t believe how artistic your community members are. Prepare to be amazed ? there is no age for the talent in Corning!
Diversity
There are countless forms of art out there ? and the Urban Arts Crawl does not discriminate. Representing everything from glass art, to metal sculptures, to live theater performances, there is something for everyone!
Learning Opportunities
Take advantage of the chance to talk to artists and meet new friends. You might even get an impromptu lesson about a cool technique or process!
