YES YES YES YES YES YES and YES… It’s good. It’s very good! This location alone has hosted two other attempts at Mexican food, but Fiesta Brava is the first one that is going to last. So what makes Fiesta Brava different than the others?
#1) Atmosphere
While Fiesta Brava doesn’t have a bar yet (they are in the process of acquiring their liquor license – I know this because I called, because that’s the kind of detail my fans demand), they did the right thing and invested in their atmosphere first. The previous establishments were bare and felt like sitting in a college cafeteria. Fiesta Brava has made the space cozy and… well… Mexican. There is even lively music playing in the background to set the mood.
#2) Amazing Staff
One of the most noticeable differences at Fiesta Brava is that they have a professional wait staff. I witnessed a waiter with a table of 8 carrying his entire table’s worth of food on a single arm… Not on a platter, but I literally mean every plate was stacked on one outstretched arm. When’s the last time you saw an entire dining room break out into spontaneous applause for a waiter? Well that’s exactly what happened, and it was a first for me.
Another thing I really loved is when I first walked in to meet my girlfriend for lunch, a passing waiter glanced at me and said “HOLA AMIGO!” Throughout my meal he referred to my girlfriend as senorita, and me as amigo. And in a totally cool / not cheesy way. I’m pretty sure I’m actually best amigos with him now.
#3) FOOOOOOOD GOOOOOOD
The food is right on. Corn chips come before your meal with a great homemade salsa. As I was awaiting my Fajita Taco Salad, I overheard two tables exclaiming how good their lunch was. It was good. It was great.[clear]
I’M SO HAPPY RIGHT NOW

I didn’t realize they were open! Third time’s a charm for Mexican on Market Street, hopefully?
Now if it can only last and survive for more than 3 months.
I ate there earlier this week and it was fantastic!! Hoping my regular business keeps them in business.
That’s great! Usually “Corning” and “great Mexican restaurant” aren’t uttered in the same sentence so yay!! 🙂
Told ya!
They will last and survive as soon as folks know they are there!!
Most excellent salsa there!!!
Maria Strinni Gill- let’s meet for lunch next week! And not just because you are the hottest mexicana chica I know!
Please tell me they use good cheese…. Went to another local “mexican” place a few years back and a slice of American on my burrito really put us off it.
I could do Friday! Liz Lewis and I went there last week and it was great!! Michael Simons, real ooey, gooey poblano! Yum yum! Although, if you like to be ON your burrito, I think you are doing it wrong.
Might’ve been an enchilada or…. whatever — meat, tortilla, rice, beans, some American plastic cheese substance… yuck.
Just finished our Friday night dinner. Even better the 2nd time. We were in and out in less than 45 minutes and The place was busy too!
Yes Mike Michael Simons real cheese & great food!!!
Try there for dinner, then to Dippity Do Dahs Homemade Ice cream for dessert — can’t go wrong on that block!
