The Corning Museum of Glass has some awesome programs for kids & families. If you’re lucky enough to live in the area, you can easily take advantage of any of these activities. If your kids missed the Amazing Accidents camp, or even if they are antsy to go to another CMoG summer camp, the upcoming August 5th Glass Camp for 12-13 year olds is called Art Experts. It sounds like something I’d like to do. Maybe I can fake my age. According to the CMoG website, campers will learn about glass made in ancient Egypt, as well as artists from Picasso to Dalí.
If you don’t know by now, this is a little bit of a personal promotion because my girlfriend works in the education department at CMoG. She helps develop and run their summer camp programs. Head over to the CMoG Blog to see some cool pics and read Bonnie’s post about the summer camp program. While you’re over there, click the Like button on her article.

Here’s the morning show segment she did with WENY about the programs. Note: WENY was a bit overzealous with their B-Roll during the interview.
