Get pumped up for ski season and some free tickets! I never miss this event. Bergers Ski and Snowboard Shop is hosting the new Warren Miller movie, Like There’s No Tomorrow, at the Corning Museum of Glass on November 4th at 7PM (I believe doors open at 6).
This is the best opportunity to score yourself some amazing discounts on lift tickets for the entire season. Local resorts will be handing out info, coupons, and freebies. Bergers does a great job hosting this event every year. Bring your friends, especially your non-skiing friends… they will enjoy the movie, and you can steal their coupons – you’ll find some pretty sweet deals from free tickets to buy-one-get-one coupons (each person gets a gift bag to get you ready for ski season).
If you ski, you are likely already familiar with Warren Miller movies. From a ski bum who showed his personal films to his friends in the 1950s, to a full fledged documentary filmmaker who pioneered an industry by renting theaters to show his movies to the public, Warren Miller Entertainment is now a company that inspires skiers every year with a new full length feature documentary. Miller himself hasn’t had a hand in the later films – I miss his iconic voice and goofy dialog- but the movies still get me revved up. I encourage you to rent an old Warren Miller film. My brother and I would always watch one with friends the night before our first trip to the slopes. It’s a pretty neat experience to continue that tradition here in Corning.
Tickets are $15 if you buy ahead of time at Bergers (cash or check – $1 surcharge for using a card) and $18 at the door. The price is worth it. The movie is a blast, the prizes are awesome, and everyone leaves with amazing coupons. If you haven’t seen a movie on the screen at CMoG, your in for a treat. They have a huge screen and an amazing projector. I saw a special screening of Avatar on their system, and it was fantastic.

Nov 4th at CMoG. Get tickets early at Bergers. I think they sold out last year.
