I’ve been putting together a list of New Year’s parties going on in Corning this year. If you know of any others, leave a comment on this post. If I add any updates, I’ll add them to this post and also to our Events Page. I’ve noticed that some bars are staying open until 3AM, and probably a few others do as well. However, some event listings I found didn’t mention a start and / or end time, so in those cases I just went with the majority and put 9pm – 1am.

“The hottest party of the year…” DJ (Bulldog) will be there. Food, drinks, and music all night.
Holmes Plate

If I wasn’t working New Years Eve, this is where I’d be. I know I’m a pusher, but I just love Holmes Plate. No Cover! From their facebook page: “Come party with Admiral Douglas Band all night! Great drink specials from 9-1! Biggest New Years Ever!!!”
Radisson / Steuben Bar

Tanino’s

For our readers in Horseheads, Taninos is having a party over in your neck of the woods. DJ starting a 9pm. Dancing, hats, noisemakers, and free midnight champagne toast. The ad didn’t mention it, but you may need to call for reservations (607-739-7013).
Watkins Glen Harbor Hotel
16 N Franklin St, Watkins Glen, NY
7pm-1AM
The title of their party is “Viva Las Vegas.” But their ad didn’t really mention much about this theme. There are 3 New Years Eve packages you can get here: One over night stay with party, Two night stay with party, Or just the party. Prices start at $219 per couple, and you must call for reservations (607-535-6116). Cocktail reception from 7pm-8pm. “Exquisite Dinner Stations” starts at 8pm. Open bar from 8:30pm-12:30am. Live music and Dancing with “New York Rockin’ Revue” from 8:30pm-12:30am. Champagne Toast at Midnight. You’ll receive a bottle of Harbor Hotel Champagne. And if you get an over night package, it includes a Breakfast Buffet (9am-11am).

Well there you have it. As of now that’s all of the parties I know about. If you know of any others, let us all know in the comments below (and be detailed so I can add it to this post / events page). New Years Eve is prime drunk driving time, so plan ahead with a cab, a friend, a parent, to pick you up. Remember, you’re an idiot when you’re drunk, the cops are out, road checks will pop up, and there’s snow on the ground. Plan ahead, be safe, and then it’s OK to get even more tanked.
