Snap Fitness (82 W Market St) is having an Open House this Friday 10am-7pm. The post on their Facebook Page says “raffles, giveaways, exercise demos, and refreshments” As well as an “unbelievably low price” for a month of Personal Training.  I joined snap last year during a holiday promotion, and I’ve been a member ever since. I’m also 40 pounds skinnier than I was this time last year; my girlfriend is down even more than that.

A little less than a year ago today (about 9 months) I was what one could refer to as “Fat Myles.” I’m not shy, so I’ll go ahead and tell you, I was 250lbs (6’2″).  That’s well into “obese” on a BMI scale.  My gift to myself for Christmas last year was a membership to Snap along with a group training class. Since I’ve already told you my results, you can correctly assume that I was happy with my decision to join. I’m not getting anything out of telling you this. I’m not a secret investor in Snap. I’ve just seen great results and this place has turned my body into a sculpted masterpiece. OK I made that last part up; I’m not quite there… yet. But compared to myself nine months ago, I’m Brad Pitt next to Fat Myles.

So HELL YES, you should check out this Open House.  Snap is already quite inexpensive, so any savings on top of that is a good thing. Consider a trainer.  S/he will keep you motivated and on schedule. I’ve had a trainer almost my entire time at Snap. I went from stressing out about my weight every hour of every day, to working out 1 hour / two to three days a week.

There are a few more things to consider at Snap. They offer classes such as Yoga, Kettlebells, Full Body Conditioning, etc… in the Snap Studio which is located just a couple doors away. In the summer they run a Boot Camp that takes place outside in a park (which really kicked me into shape). And you can’t use the “I’m too busy” excuse; Snap is open 24 / 7. If nothing else, give them a try and tell them Myles sent you. That probably won’t get you any additional discounts, but at least they know you know a cool guy.
